ESU-Churchill Public Speaking Competition Regional Finals, 12 March

The Lincolnshire Branch, supported by a cornucopia of volunteers from far and wide, has been busy running the East Midlands regional heats of the ESU-Churchill Public Speaking Competition. After two area finals, the final five teams have made it through the Zoom rounds to the in-person Regional Final on 12 March, kindly hosted by the University of Lincoln and the first Regional Final to be organised by this branch.

Joining local Lincolnshire schools Caistor Grammar and Stamford Endowed Schools, are Belper School & Sixth Form College, Loughborough Grammar School and Oundle School. Local ESU organiser Steph Thorne said, ‘It has been really exciting to see students bring so much passion to the first two rounds. They have quickly adapted to the Zoom format and taken lessons on board so we can’t wait to see what they do in person.’
