Secondary School Exchange

WHAT: Scholarship to an American high school

AGE: Post-Year 13

WHEN: Two or three terms from September

Walter Hines Page Scholarship

WHAT: US research scholarship for UK teachers

GRANT: £2,000-£2,500

WHEN: Applications open in late September each year

Lindemann Trust Fellowship

WHAT: Two-year US research fellowship for post-doctoral scientists

GRANT: $65,000 per annum, plus a £1,000 travel grant

WHEN: Applications close in February with interviews in April

Music Scholarship

WHAT: Scholarships for talented young musicians to develop their skills at International Musicians Seminar, UK or at Georg Solti Accademia di Bel Canto, Italy

HOW: Applicants should apply directly to the programmes via the website links above. The ESU will then select a successful musician to support in conjunction with the programmes’ admission staff

Chilton Art History Scholarship

WHAT: An annual award to an applicant who has already been accepted on certain Masters programmes at Christie’s or Sotheby’s Institute of Art

GRANT: £10,000

HOW: Applications are made directly to Christie’s or Sotheby’s via their normal application procedures

AMERICAN MEMORIAL CHAPEL TRAVEL GRANT

The American Memorial Chapel Travel Grant is not open for new applications at the moment.

Lincolnshire Branch Travel Grants

A group of secondary school students (male and female) somewhere in the woods.

WHAT: Travel grants for students looking to travel abroad for a month or more with exciting ideas for studying, teaching or cultural exchange

WHO: Students in years 12 and 13 born in the county and/or studying in Lincolnshire schools, universities and other educational establishments

WHEN: Applications close in February
