The Rt Hon. the Baroness Prashar CBE is a crossbench life peer who has sat under this title in the Lords since 26 July 1999. She was the first Chair of the Judicial Appointments Commission, first Civil Service Commissioner, formerly Director of the Runnymede Trust and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, former Chancellor of De Montfort University, and a member of the Iraq Inquiry. She has been President of the Royal Commonwealth Society and Deputy Chair of the British Council. She currently chairs Cumberland Lodge and is President of UK Community Foundations.

We are thrilled that she will be joining us for an evening of conversation with Dr Alastair Niven LVO OBE, Co-Chair of the Events Committee, discussing among other topics the responsibilities of charitable organisations today, the independence of the judiciary, and the achievements of the Iraq Inquiry.

Tickets are free for members, £10 for guests. Reserve your place here.
