Come and join us for an engaging discussion on Latin American security, as part of our new series on Geopolitical Risk

This event will bring expert, Dr Irene Mia, Senior Fellow for Latin America, and Conflict, Security & Development at the International Institute for Strategic Studies to Dartmouth House.

Dr Mia will talk about the current security dynamics in the region. She will discuss the impact of drug trafficking and armed conflict trends on the strength of institutions and democracy in the region. Whilst also touching upon criminal governance and the transformation of criminal groups into political actors and providers of governance and services to the local population.
