Hastings 1066 pre-christmas luncheon

In November Hastings 1066 members and guests attended a pre-Christmas Luncheon at the Royal Victoria Hotel in St Leonards.  We met in the Lounge for drinks and welcomed the speaker, M.J. Paranzino.

The lunch took place in the beautiful Terrace Restaurant. The tables were decorated with Christmas crackers and hats. After a variety of starters the three choices of meats were accompanied by wide choice of vegetables. The puddings included Winter Berry Trifle.  It was a beautiful lunch.  M.J. then spoke about the Liberty Choir which gives support to prisoners inside and gives them somewhere to go when the are released.  Volunteers from M.J ‘s Community Choirs sing with prisoners, who learn about teamwork and positive relationships along with basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Many members generously contributed prizes for the raffle which took place at the end of the meeting. It was a most inspiring and interesting day.
