The Lincolnshire branch was delighted to sponsor Lincoln Book Festival 2021’s opening night on Monday, 11 October with psychological thriller writer Philippa East. Philippa generously shared how she used her own background of criminal psychology to create interesting and real characters on the page and also to construct a story which kept suspense and satisfied readers paragraph by paragraph. Her new thriller, Safe and Sound, will surely be on all our Christmas lists.

Pictured left to right are ESU member Camilla Carlbom Flinn; Tim Rideout, who interviewed the author; author Philippa East; Lincoln Book Festival’s Jill Hughes; and ESU member Giles Walter.
