After postgraduate training as a teacher of languages, John Miller made an early move sideways to join BBC staff where he remained for nearly 30 years. Most of that time was spent in television production. He began his BBC career in Sound radio operations in London, soon moving north to Manchester and into network television production. After an early mix of quizzes and children’s programs, he went on to produce a wide range of current affairs, documentaries and feature programs. Later he produced exhibitions, shows and live events, first as the BBC is corporate exhibitions manager and later as a freelance for mainly BBC related companies.
