Loading Events

Join us at Dartmouth House for a conversation with John Ray, Senior Correspondent at ITV News, and Alastair Niven OBE LVO Hon FRSL.

John Ray is the award winning Senior Correspondent with ITV News. He has worked in many parts of the world, his assignments including heading ITN’s bureaux in Beijing, Johannesburg and Tel Aviv. He was the first Western journalist to report from Syria when the war started there. Since February last year he has worked several times in Ukraine, most recently from the front line. With Alastair Niven, he will discuss the pressures of being a foreign correspondent in often dangerous or challenging situations, his personal route to this demanding role, and how he manages to make it compatible with family life in the UK.
