We are delighted to invite UK students to take part in an international public speaking event this summer, joining around 50 children and young people from across China for a day of friendly competition and cultural exchange.
The event will be a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their public speaking skills, meet peers from another country and experience a supportive yet competitive environment.
The competition is open across three age categories:
- Intermediate primary: ages 8-10
- Junior secondary: ages 11-12
- Intermediate secondary: ages 13-16
Participants will deliver a three-minute, pre-prepared speech to a panel of experienced judges, competing for a range of prizes. Topics will be shared six weeks in advance, giving students plenty of time to prepare and build confidence.
The event is free to enter, and includes lunch and refreshments. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the day.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of Dartmouth House, this promises to be a memorable and enriching experience for all involved.
