DESCRIPTION:We regret that this event has been cancelled. \nTony Bostock lives in Swanlow area of Winsford in the heart of Cheshire and descends from a family which has lived in the Northwich district for several hundred years. The 30 years he was an officer with the Cheshire Constabulary and later worked as a community safety coordinator with Vale Royal Borough Council and served as a GP. He has always had a passion for history and has held office with The Cheshire local history Association\, the Winsford and district history Society and the Northwich Heritage Society.

DESCRIPTION:Professor Terry Callahan will be giving a talk on his Research work in the Arctic \nTerry Callahan started  as an Arctic plant ecologist in 1967. Over 52 years\, he has worked in every Arctic country and has been in the field during each of 50 years. His main current focus is to develop international collaboration to understand environmental change in Siberia. He has published over 430 scientific papers and is included as Most cited and influential researcher\, for the period of 2002–2012 on the web of science. He was created CMG in 2018 for his contribution to international corporation.

DESCRIPTION:After postgraduate training as a teacher of languages\, John Miller made an early move sideways to join BBC staff where he remained for nearly 30 years. Most of that time was spent in television production. He began his BBC career in Sound radio operations  in London\, soon moving north to Manchester and into network television production. After an early mix of quizzes and children’s programs\, he went on to produce a wide range of current affairs\, documentaries and feature programs. Later he produced exhibitions\, shows and live events\, first as the BBC is corporate exhibitions manager and later as a freelance for mainly  BBC related companies.

DESCRIPTION:Ian Morison is Emeritus Gresham Professor of astronomy\, the oldest chair of astronomy in the world dating from 1597 and once helped by Sir Christopher Wren. He studied physics\, maths and astronomy at Oxford university and became a research student at Jodrell  Bank Observatory in 1965 before he joined the staff. He lectures widely and is the author of many publications.
