A scholarship for young musicians

Music Scholarships

ESU Music Scholarships allow talented young musicians to develop their skills and further their training at one of several internationally renowned music programmes in the UK, Europe, America and Canada. Past alumni of this scholarship have gone on to make a significant contribution to the musical profession, both as performers and as teachers.

An ESU Music Scholarship covers the cost of tuition, board and lodging at one of the following programmes:

Académie Internationale de Musique Maurice Ravel, France*

Banff Centre, Canada

International Musicians Seminar, UK

Tanglewood Music Center, USA

Georg Solti Accademia di Bel Canto, Italy

*The ESU works in partnership with the Franco-British Society, who part sponsor a pianist to attend the Académie Internationale de Musique Maurice Ravel, through the Vlado Perlemuter scholarship.

The application process

Applicants should apply directly to the programmes and are not required to apply to the ESU. The ESU will then select a successful musician to support in conjunction with the programmes' admission staff.
