The American Memorial Chapel Travel Grant allows a member of the clergy, from any denomination, to take a study tour to the USA for 3-4 weeks. The Grant was established in 1961 to help foster understanding and the exchange of ideas between members of the clergy in the UK and USA. Administered by The Queen's Foundation and the ESU, the grant helps to forge ongoing and productive relationships between individuals and organisations across both continents.
Applications open in spring and close in September each year and are administered by The Queen's Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education, Birmingham.
This grant is offered to anyone resident in the UK who is a member of the clergy from any denomination.
Each year, the panel awards up to £2,000 in funding, which may be made as a single award or split across multiple proposals.
