Richard Humphreys KC spent six months in the US on the SSE programme in 1981. On his return, he read law at university, including a Master’s degree in law. He was called to the Bar in 1986. He specialises in planning and local government law, practising from Chambers in London and Birmingham. He was appointed a QC in 2006 and elected a Governing Bencher of the Inner Temple in 2014.
He is married to Rosie. They have three grown-up children and have lived in Northamptonshire for the past 25 years. He has previously served as a governor of a primary school and as a parish councillor.
