Amongst the many things we’re enjoying this month are a feature in TES about how oracy has a vital role to play in maths lessons; a series of recorded interviews by the Oracy Education Commission; and a highly acclaimed book subtitled How AI Will Revolutionize Education (and Why That’s a Good Thing). We’ve also booked our tickets to English (pictured above) a Pulitzer prizewinning drama written by Sanaz Toossi, set in an Iranian classroom as a group of students prepare to take their English as a Foreign Language exam. As director Diyan Zora says: ‘We rarely see the Middle East on stage in the context of comedy, and I think comedy is one of the most beautiful and profound ways to connect with others.’
