Book festival success

The Lincoln branch was delighted to support the first night of the Lincoln Book Festival on Monday 23 September – readers young and old were spellbound by author Melvyn Burgess who described his own discovery of story-telling and how he started his creative exploration into imagining his stories in the key note address.  As well as awards for flash fiction,  the evening included the presentation of the Aurora Award for creative writing winners by  judge and eminent poet Malika Booker. A cornucopia of snippets from writers of every age sent ESU members and fellow attendees into the night searching for pen and paper.
