The English-Speaking Union invites you to join us at the Sam Wanamaker Theatre of Shakespeare’s Globe for the Grand Final of the ESU Performing Shakespeare Competition on Friday, 23 June. The Performing Shakespeare Competition is a chance for schools across the country to practice their oracy and drama skills. Schools have been competing in heats across the country to secure a place in the grand final at the San Wanamaker Theatre.
Please book all of your tickets before 17:00 on Tuesday, 20 June. This is when ticketing will close. Tickets allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Please note, if you are attending as an audience member, you consent to photos/videos being shared on our social media. If you are booking with students, please ensure to fill out copies of our photo permission forms; these are attached with the draw, or can be requested through competition@esu.org.
*Each school is permitted up to 20 tickets for family members/friends and fellow students. Tickets will be checked upon entry. If you would like to book additional spaces, please email competition@esu.org and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Audience members are permitted to arrive at 13.00 before moving into the Sam Wanamaker Theatre at 13:50 in preparation for the performances to begin at 14:00. Please arrive between 13:00-13:30. Audience members and non-competing students will not be permitted to join the tour of Shakespeare’s Globe or the acting workshop prior to the Grand Final. For those who are unable to attend live, the event will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel.
