The English-Speaking Union is delighted to invite members, alumni and their guests to attend this year’s Evelyn Wrench Lecture and Dinner with guest of honour HRH The Princess Royal, President of the English-Speaking Union of the Commonwealth.
The black-tie event will take place at the ESU’s headquarters at Dartmouth House in London on Tuesday, 24 October 2023 at 6.15pm.
The event will open with a reception, followed by the Evelyn Wrench lecture, concluding with a three-course dinner.
Sir Evelyn Wrench founded the ESU in 1918. This annual lecture in his memory welcomes distinguished speakers reflect on the ESU’s founding principles of international friendship, dialogue and understanding in the English language and the work of the charity to develop young people’s oracy skills. The ESU supports young people across England and Wales to be confident speakers and build communication skills that can be life-changing.
