Bristol Branch: 'The Magic of Matter' by Dr Felix Flicker

Bristol Branch are delighted to be hosting a talk entitled ‘The Magic of Matter’, presented by Dr Felix Flicker. Having attended the University of California, Berkley as an ESU Lindemann Trust Fellow, Dr Flicker is currently a lecturer in theoretical physics at Cardiff University and works on the quantum underpinnings of matter. His new book, ‘The Magic of Matter: Crystals, Chaos, and the Wizardry of Physics’ introduces the magic of condensed matter physics, including the science to conjure crystals from chaos & new particles. Doors will open at 7.15pm for light refreshments, with the talk beginning at 7.45pm.
