About us

On behalf of the Worcestershire Branch of The English-Speaking Union I, would like to welcome and to invite you to join us at any of the events we hold during the year.

We have a diverse programme which includes literary lunches, musical evenings, often featuring young local musicians, together with arranged outings, many of which are inspired by the beautiful countryside of Worcestershire. Our branch is noted for its warm friendship which is enjoyed by all our members.

We also sponsor local young people involved in the UK Public Speaking Competition.

You are assured of a very warm welcome should you wish to join us.

Pershore High School's Success in Worcester branch Public Speaking Competition

After a hard-fought competition the winners of the Public Speaking Competition were Pershore High School, and the runners-up were Bromsgrove School. There was a very high standard of research, presentation and articulate speaking throughout the competition.
