Welcome to the Epping Forest branch
Greetings and welcome to the Epping Forest Branch of the English-Speaking Union. We are an active branch and hold meetings at 10am on the first Thursday of every month at the Murray Hall in Loughton. The meetings include light refreshments, followed by a talk on a wide range of interesting topics. In addition, we organise outings, concerts, lunches and holidays which enable the branch to support the central aim of ESU which is to spread understanding and friendship throughout the world by use of the English language.
Many of the 25 UK branches organise local heats for the UK Public Speaking Competition and our branch has provided financial support for these and many other ESU initiatives. If you live in South West Essex and would like to make a difference to the local community, I can strongly recommend the work of our branch and look forward to welcoming you to your first event. Do come and join us – together we can make a difference!
