The life of an MP

Tuesday 3 October 2017

High Steward of Colchester and former long-term MP, Sir Bob Russell, was a most affable guest at Colchester English Study Centre on the afternoon of Sunday, 1 October 2017. He was interviewed 'Parkinson style' on serving in the House of Commons, receiving a knighthood and politics in general as well as his interests in local history and Colchester United, answering questions from the audience in the process. ESU members represented the majority of around 20 in attendance alongside students at the Centre. Light refreshments were served as members of the audience mingled with each other and the speaker, making it a remarkably convivial event.
