100 years of Electoral Enfranchisement of Women in the UK

Join us 12:30 for 1pm for our first lunch of 2018 on 17th January where Alice Thompson will give a talk entitled '100 Years of Electoral Enfranchisement of Women in the UK.'

After graduating from Bristol University and obtaining an MA in newspaper journalism from City University, Alice Thomson joined The Times. She became a foreign correspondent, feature writer and political reporter. She moved to The Daily Telegraph before rejoining The Times She has also written for Vogue and The Spectator and broadcast regularly. In 2014, she was Political Journalist of the Year in the Press Gazette awards. Alice will talk on the major changes in society as we celebrate 100 years since the electoral enfranchisement of women.
