Our speaker will talk on the subject of Contemporary Russia and Vladimir Putin. Bridget Kendall was one of the BBC’s most respected international reporters, holding the senior role of BBC Diplomatic Correspondent.  A fluent Russian speaker, she has a particular interest in Russia and reported on the collapse of the Soviet Union.  She has conducted interviews with a range of international leaders – Thatcher, Bush, Clinton, Gorbachev and two long interviews with Putin, broadcast live from inside the Kremlin.

In 2015 she became the first female Master of Cambridge’s oldest college. She will talk about her experiences and comment on the future of Moscow’s relations with the West. We are greatly privileged to have her as our guest following her recent fascinating series of Radio Four talks.
