A scholarship for young musicians

Music Scholarships

ESU Music Scholarships allow talented young musicians to develop their skills and further their training at one of several internationally renowned music programmes in the UK, Europe, America and Canada. Past alumni of this scholarship have gone on to make a significant contribution to the musical profession, both as performers and as teachers.

An ESU Music Scholarship covers the cost of tuition, board and lodging at one of the following programmes:

Académie Internationale de Musique Maurice Ravel, France

Banff Centre, Canada

International Musicians Seminar, UK

Tanglewood Music Center, USA

Yale Summer School of Music - Norfolk Music Festival, USA

Georg Solti Accademia di Bel Canto, Italy

The application process

Applications are closed for this year's ESU Music Scholarship, and will reopen in June 2017.

Candidates should complete an application form and send together with a reference and recording. Successful applicants will be invited to an audition in front of a widely-respected panel of experts and members of the ESU’s international team. If successful at the audition, scholars must then apply and audition for their chosen summer programme through this institution’s normal application procedures.

For more information, please read the applicant notes or email education@esu.org.
