New Board of Governors Formed

I am delighted to announce the results of the postal ballot by ESU members.
I want to thank immediately all those members who gave their time and expertise freely and generously to the ESU, and to those members who cast their votes. With the exception of a second Honorary Treasurer there is now a full complement of Honorary Officers and 27 elected Governors as required by the Royal Charter. The ballot process was overseen by Sir Robert Worcester and I should like to express my gratitude to him for giving his expert guidance and personal oversight to what has been the ESU's first open election of Governors by postal ballot. Professor Steve Hodkinson, Secretary of the ESU, has worked tirelessly and successfully to make the process transparent, secure and at minimum cost to the ESU.
The new Board of Governors is set out below, with existing Governors in the left-hand column and those elected to serve from the AGM in November 2011 in the right-hand column. I look forward to working with all the Governors at the service of the English-Speaking Union.
