London Debate Challenge Motions Now Available

ldcThis article was published on Wednesday 27 June 2012

Each year, the London Debate Challenge preliminary rounds run from January until June in maintained schools throughout London's 32 boroughs. The borough champions then come together in July in a series of debates and the overall winner of the competition is crowned at a finals day held at Dartmouth House. The pre-release motions for this year's finals day on 6 July are as follows:

Round 1: "This House Would Ban the Media from Reporting on Crimes"

Grand Final: "This House Regrets that London will Host the Olympics"

Teams are advised to look at both sides of the debate for each topic, as positions in the debate will not be announced until 10 minutes before the start of the round. Best of luck to all the teams involved.

If you are interested in attending this event as a spectator, please email speech.debate@esu.org for the full schedule and register your attendance.
