We're half way through the academic year, and our competitions, activities, and programmes are in full flow. Read up on how the first rounds have been, and look ahead to the regional finals in the spring. We have also been able to take time to celebrate the achievements of those involved in our last year of programmes, and our report from the award ceremony at Buckingham Palace in November will give you an idea of the incredible people and groups we get to work with over the year.

This edition of dialogue is a special alumni edition. Earlier this year we contacted our alumni, asking them to let us know how the ESU changed their lives. We weren't short for answers! Have a look at the pick of the submissions, and keep checking the website for more stories from the ESU's past in the new year.

Branch activities have begun, and you will be able to find reports from the first few months of the 2010/11 season, as well as diary dates for the upcoming months.

We have a great selection of events happening in the spring, from Evening Literary Lectures, to a gala dinner, so be sure to peruse the back pages and make space in your diaries to join us at the ESU in the new year.
