ESU Hong Kong Turns 10

The English-Speaking Union in Hong Kong (the only ESU in China) is celebrating its 10^th anniversary in 2011. The programme this year has included:

A successful visit by mentors from the ESU's training delegations whose members made presentations and gave advice to a large number of students and teachers in senior secondary schools.

A well-received seminar series (four sessions of three hours each) of training for teachers who will enter students for the annual Hong Kong Speech Festival which provides opportunities for over two hundred thousand students. The seminars were conducted by ESU members.

The launching of a new programme for Gifted Children.

The year will end on a high note at a celebratory banquet which will feature a band, an auction, a slide show of ESU events, alumni presentations and even dinner!
