We are currently seeking and Operations Manager to work alongside the Director of Finance and Operations in developing the property management strategy of Dartmouth House.
You will manage a range of capital development projects, ensuring a programme of maintenance and capital works is put in place in line with the ESU’s property management strategy.
Acting as Facilities Manger for the ESU, you will also be responsible for the smooth operating of the catering contract and Dartmouth House as a venue, and act as the lead for Health and Safety across the ESU. You will contribute to policies and building robust systems, working with external agencies as necessary.
Working alongside the Director of Finance and Operations to plan a programme of capital, maintenance and refurbishment works that will carry out the ESU’s property management strategy, you will support the development of the strategy whilst managing the completion of all works within agreed financial quality and timescale targets.
A source of expertise on all matters related to buildings and facilities, you will provide advice and guidance, developing Dartmouth House as a membership venue and function menu in line will all ESU strategies. Managing the venue you will ensure resourcing levels are met so that the venue runs smoothly and operating costs are managed in line with agreed parameters, and that all standards are agreed and set from the Front of House to the waste disposal needs of the business.
You will be experienced in managing staff and contracted parties and consultants, with a track record of project managing buildings and maintenance projects and budgets.
A recognised building qualification, such as RICS,CIOB, IMBM, MAPM or similar NEBOSH qualification is essential, alongside good interpersonal and communication skills and the innovative approach to solving technical problems.
